History

WBHO Civil is currently the amalgamation of companies previously known as CECK, Carr Civil Contracting and North Coast Holdings backed by WBHO Construction, a large South African based construction company listed on the Johannesburg stock exchange.

CECK was a Perth based civil construction contractor that had provided civil construction expertise to an expanding client base since 1987 with the policy to provide a “One Stop Shop” for civil construction services.

With the acquisition of Plastech Engineering in 2005 the “One Stop Shop” philosophy was enhanced by extensive HDPE pipe welding, installation and HDPE product manufacturing expertise. In 2006 a strategically created alliance with Probuild and WBHO gave CECK a substantial boost forward and in 2007 CECK restructured its operations into maintenance and construction divisions.

This strategic alliance has proven to be extremely successful and complementary to both companies, and as a result, the decision has been made for CECK to take on the WBHO name in 2011, resulting in our new name of WBHO Civil.

Established in 2002, Carr Civil Contracting quickly developed a reputation across the Pilbara in the delivery of quality, safe and cost effective integrated civil solutions. With a client base inclusive of mining companies, government agencies, local authorities and the private sector, Carr Civil Contracting provided comprehensive civil and mining services to their state and national clientele. The company had the experience to deliver complex concrete and earthworks packages.

In 2010 an alliance was formed between Carr Civil Contracting and WBHO Australia to form WBHO-Carr.

Founded in 1986, and with more than 80 employees, Northcoast Group has expertise in all aspects of the earthmoving and civil construction industries. In recent years Northcoast Group has diversified their services with the formation of an underground division, specialising in the installation of telecommunications and optic fibre cabling. The company has an RTO accredited training division and are licensed carrier of potable water. Combining these services delivers a truly integrated civil solution.

WBHO Construction Pty Ltd is a leading force in construction across Southern Africa.
